The Centre de Recherche Scientifique et Technique pour le Développement de la Langue Arabe (CRSTDLA) is a public scientific and technological research institution, established on December 14, 1991, as a replacement for the Institute of Linguistics and Phonetics and the Research Unit in Linguistics and Spoken Communication.
It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Algeria.
Main Missions of CRSTDLA
The center focuses on conducting theoretical and practical research on the Arabic language and linguistics, standardizing and validating terminology, and leading research projects in the fields of linguistic sciences and technologies applied to the Arabic language.
Research Divisions
The CRSTDLA is structured into several research divisions, including:
- Computational Linguistics Division
- Arabic Linguistics, Lexicology, Terminology, and Translation Studies Division
- Arabic Didactics and Comparative Language Didactics Division
- Spoken Communication and Language Pathologies Division
